L’Fisher Hotel’s 3-Day Singaporean Food Festival

L'Fisher Hotel's 3-Day Singaporean Food Festival

I have never been to Singapore yet but I have relatives and friends who have been there. They cannot stop raving about how clean it is and how everything seems to be in order. I have also heard a lot of positive things about Singaporean food such as Hainanese Chicken Rice, Satay, Beef Rendang, Nonya Laksa, and Spicy Chicken Curry. Although I am biased towards Filipino food, my palate is adaptable to different types of cuisine and I would definitely eat Singaporean dishes if given the chance.

That opportunity came when my fellow bloggers and I were invited to try the food that will be served by L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City during their 3-day International Buffet with Singaporean Food Festival on September 18 to 20 at the hotel’s Ripples Restaurant.

The culinary event will feature Singaporean executive chef and restaurateur HK Tan of the Singapore Food Republic and Nasi Lemak Galleria Fame. The food fest is in celebration of the hotel’s 25th anniversary.

We were delighted to meet Chef Tan as he taught us how to eat Hainanese Chicken the right way. “We are excited to bring a taste of Singapore to Bacolod”, said the 60-year old chef. He introduced to us the food that he will prepare for the Singaporean Food Festival. He also shared some of his secrets to cooking really delicious food. We had such a great time because the dishes were sumptuous and Chef Tan was so nice and accommodating.

The six (6) dishes included in the festival are Hainanese Chicken, Beef Rendang, Vegetable Blantsan, Tao Eu Bak, Char Kew Teow, and Chicken Curry. This sure was one memorable food tasting experience.
