The Salomon X-Trail Pilipinas 2016 (Bacolod Leg)
Calling all trail fanatics and running enthusiasts, the much-awaited trail running event of the season is back in Western Visayas – the SALOMON X-TRAIL RUN. Hosted by the leading brand for trail running, Salomon presents a series of trail running races in the Asia-Pacific Region. For nearly ten years, the brand has mounted some of the more challenging trails running races, which features different terrain surfaces, vertical ascents, long uphill climbs, with multi-surfaces of dirt, rocks, sand, and concrete paths. This much anticipated event of Salomon has been making waves around Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and the Philippines.
On its 3rd year, the Salomon X-Trail Pilipinas – Bacolod Leg is thrilled to have the event in Talisay, Negros Occidental on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Reputed for being a technical trail running race, the “X-Trail” branding includes a mix of different terrain and river crossings, downhill and uphill treks, forest canopy covers, grassland hikes and a spectacular view of both Negros and Panay islands.
Starting line is at 720 meters and goes down to a low of 520 meters. The highest point is at 960 meters with a beautiful view of Bacolod City and the surrounding towns of Negros island. The race will pass thru the tree planting site of the Negros Mountaineering Club.
There are two distances: 17.0 KM and 12.5 KM. This is the only trail race in the Western Visayas region which truly offers an authentic trail run adventure. Expect technical challenges along the route but the experience is worth every effort.
Runners during the Salomon X-Trail Pilipinas 2015 (Bacolod Leg)
The Salomon X-Trail Pilipinas is a green event and all participants are obliged to bring hydration pack. Water stations are strategically located along the course.
All registered participants will get technical shirts, Salomon race bag, medal, 20% discount in Salomon stores (Bacolod and Iloilo), raffle ticket, full meal & products, and giveaways from sponsors. All proceeds of the event will be for the continuous tree planting project of the Negros Forest and Ecological Foundation Inc.
Registration fee for the 12.5 KM short course run is Php 800; 17.0 KM long course run is Php 1,000. You may register at Salomon Store SM Bacolod and Salomon SM Iloilo until November 25, 2016.

• Assembly area: KampoHiyang-hiyang, Campuestohan, Talisay, Negros Occidental
• Assembly time: 5:00 AM
• Gun start: 6:30 AM (17 KM), 6:45 AM (12 KM)
• Start and Finish at Kampo Hiyang-Hiyang
Transportation and Lodging:
Race day pick-up time of participants in Bacolod: 4:00 AM at Caltex Imart, Lopues East across Mc Donalds. Last trip is at 5:00 AM. Camping area is available at the race site the night before the race. There are lodging rooms at Eco-Trails base camp and Hiyang-Hiyang resort but are on a first come first serve basis.
• Long distance runners – 12 KM junction : 9:30 AM, diverted to the short course
• Long distance runners – 11 KM, 11:00 AM diverted short route to NFEFI staff house
• Cut-off time for all runners is 12:30 PM

4:00 AM – Pickup of participants at Caltex Imart, Lopues East
5:00 AM – Assembly at the Start line
6:30 AM – Gunstart for 17KM
6:40 AM – Gun start for 12.5 KM
9:00 AM – Cut-off for all 17 KM runners divert to short route
10:00 AM – 17 KM diverted to short route going to NFEFI staff house
