Electricity consumers in Central Negros are set to benefit from lower power rates this December 2025, following an official rate adjustment announced by Negros Electric and Power Corporation (Negros Power). The reduction provides timely financial relief to households and businesses, particularly as energy consumption typically rises during the holiday season.

Negros Power has issued its official electricity rates for November 2025, alongside a series of relief measures designed to support consumers still recovering from the impact of Typhoon Tino. The announcement reflects both ongoing market conditions and the company’s commitment to easing financial burdens for affected households.

In a move that underscores Primelectric Holdings Inc.’s growing influence in the country’s energy landscape, Atty. Richard Nethercott, former President and CEO of the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP), has officially joined the group as its Corporate Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Residents of Central Negros will experience only a modest adjustment in their electricity bills this August 2025, as Negros Power announced that average residential rates will be at ₱11.50/kWh. This reflects an increase of ₱0.13/kWh compared to the previous month’s ₱11.37/kWh.
