YES Votes Currently Winning In The Primelectric And CENECO JVA Plebiscite

YES Votes Currently Winning In The Primelectric And CENECO JVA Plebiscite

Decades of poor electricity services in Bacolod City by CENECO has empowered consumers to push for the approval of the Primelectric/Negros Power and CENECO Joint Venture Agreement (JVA). This is the only solution to the unscheduled and frequent blackouts as well as the way for CENECO to pay its debts and solve all its problems.

Result of August 19 and 20 Plebiscite

Many CENECO consumer-members have showed their support for the approval of the JVA by participating in the August 19 and 20 plebiscite. Some went to the polling booths themselves while others opted to cast their votes through proxies.

The in-depth information campaigns held in the past month explaining to the residents in detail the benefits of the JVA, have produced a 91% result in favor of the CENECO Joint Venture Agreement.

Determining Who Wins in the Plebiscite

CENECO and NEA will summarize the plebiscites held on August 19, 20, 26, 27, September 2, and 3, 2023, after they had cleaned up the list of qualified voters. A majority of qualified voters should vote in favor of the JVA for it to push through. There should be at least 50% + 1 YES votes.
