Negros Power Mobilizes Response Teams For Undas 2026 In Bacolod, Talisay, Silay, And Bago
Negros Electric and Power Corporation (Negros Power) has activated its Undas 2026 contingency plan, deploying technical personnel across Bacolod, Talisay, Silay, and Bago cities to monitor power facilities and respond to possible electricity-related concerns during the November 1 and 2 observance.
The preparations cover major cemeteries and memorial parks expected to receive increased visitors during All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, when thousands of families gather to pay their respects to departed loved ones.
Response Teams Assigned to Eight Operational Areas
Under the contingency plan, Negros Power has organized response teams across eight operational areas, with personnel working on two rotating shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
In Bacolod City, teams will monitor major burial grounds, including Bacolod North Public Cemetery, Bacolod South Public Cemetery in Handumanan, Rolling Hills Cemetery, Palm Heaven Cemetery, Chinese Cemetery, Rose Lawn Cemetery, Bacolod Memorial Park, Sanctuario de Bacolod, and Forest Lake Memorial Park.
Personnel will also be assigned to cemeteries in Talisay, Silay, and Bago, including Heaven’s Gate Cemetery, Daan Pari Cemetery, and Lasting Peace Cemetery.
Additional standby teams will be stationed at strategic locations covering the Bacolod, Talisay-Silay, and Bago-Murcia areas to facilitate quicker deployment when necessary.
Transformer Monitoring and Inspection
Aside from personnel deployment, Negros Power will inspect and monitor distribution transformers serving identified cemetery areas. The equipment covered by the plan ranges from 10 kVA to 50 kVA, depending on the requirements of each location.
These activities are intended to help identify potential equipment concerns and maintain the reliability of electricity distribution facilities throughout the two-day observance.
Engr. Mervin Dalian, Assistant Vice President for Network Development and Operations of Negros Power, said the company has prepared its technical personnel and identified standby locations to ensure timely assistance should power-related incidents occur.

Ensuring Reliable Electricity During Undas
With increased public activity expected around cemeteries and memorial parks, Negros Power’s contingency measures aim to maintain service reliability while ensuring that response personnel are available throughout the observance.
Through its coordinated deployment, equipment inspections, and round-the-clock staffing, the company seeks to minimize possible service disruptions in areas where large gatherings are expected.
As communities observe Undas and families visit their departed loved ones, Negros Power’s preparations focus on keeping electricity services dependable and ensuring that technical assistance remains accessible when needed.
