Summit Hotel Tacloban has 138 rooms. The hotel’s design is inspired by the region’s history and highlights its rich natural resources. Its architect Albert Yu says that natural wood and neutral hues will be the main motif of the hotel with details from native stone surfaces, pretty latticework and elegant light fixtures. Wooden arches greet guests at the reception area.

King and Twin Super rooms feature native woodwork patterns much like the bamboo floors of the bahay kubo. All rooms and communal spaces are furnished with mid-century modern pieces to balance the traditional design. The hotel has six guest suites in three different designs – the Sangyaw Suite, Lubi-Lubi Suite, and Pintados Suite.
