Negros Power joins the first Renewable Energy Week in Negros Occidental.
Negros Power made a significant impact at the inaugural Renewable Energy Week organized by the Negros Occidental Provincial Government, held from May 20 to 22, 2024, at the Ayala Event Center in Bacolod City. This event brought together energy stakeholders, government officials, and agencies to discuss and promote the transition to renewable energy sources in the province.
The Renewable Energy Week and Expo aimed to educate the public on the Negros Energy Development Road Map, a strategic plan guiding the province’s transition to 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. Amidst rising electricity costs, the event also emphasized the importance of alternative energy sources for residents.
The interactive diorama at the Negros Power exhibit was a captivating way for visitors to learn about the various sources of energy.
Negros Power’s participation was marked by their innovative Experience Booth. The booth featured an interactive diorama powered by an app, illustrating various sources of renewable energy alongside conventional power counterparts. This engaging display allowed visitors to explore and understand the different energy options available, emphasizing the benefits and feasibility of renewable energy solutions.
The experience booth also featured a video playback teaching visitors about the various causes of power outages, providing much-needed information to the public. These visual aids were instrumental in conveying complex information in an accessible and engaging manner.
Negros Power’s mascot, Nong Moroy, made his debut at the expo and gave out prizes to the visitors who joined in a simple game.
Adding to the booth’s appeal was a standee of Nong Moroy, the Negros Power mascot, which attracted visitors and added a touch of local charm to the exhibit. Visitors had the opportunity to collect exclusive giveaways, including keychains, pens, notebooks, and the popular Negros Power Promise Mug.
